Part-time help

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

I love public holiday, especially when I don’t have to houswork on this faithful day. Today, our part-time help is here to help us clean the house. Yeah, i am looking forward to my clean house in another 2 hours time. There are some ironing waiting for her too.::P

She is the 2nd help that we have. I still prefer our first part-time help, like the way she clean and pack my place better. She is neater and thorough. I prefer her but she is not returning our message (yes, helper these day are very high tech, we communicate via SMS), guess she is scare of the mess that she has to face each time she comes here. (joking, that’s not true hor, our unit is small and manageable)

Here how my living room look likes while she is still cleaning…31052007002_1 31052007003

Yakult lady

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Do you have the luxury of having Yakult lady selling at your place? Fortunately or unfortunately, I do. Our Yakult lady is amazing, she can sell Yakult whenever and whereever she is. Met her a few time, in the lift, at the void deck, at the Carpark and she will ask me the the same question ‘Yakult for you? Very healthy?’ and when i said no, she will repeat ‘ Yakult for you? Very healthy’ hahaha. Anyway, I never once did buy Yakult from her. I still prefer to do my weekly grocery shopping and enjoy choosing the pack that i like althought they are all the same. Too bad…

Lunch questionaire

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Before you decide to lunch at Olive cafe located at IBP, you have to ask yourself a few SERIOUS questions.

1) Are you prepare to receive rude service provided by their new Chinese looking waitress?

2) Are you ready to take the risk of having soup spill on your clothes?

3) Are you ready to be attacked by the desert fork when desert was served?

4) Are you ready to wait for more than 30 min for your drink and they have to serve you the wrong drink when it finally arrive and take another 15 mins to make the right drink that taste as bland as plain water?

If you think you are able to handle the above questions, welcome to lunch at Olive. Good luck.

Here’s the cup of tea that took more than 45 min to brew and the BIG BOSS of the cafe…i am referring to the size.30052007 30052007001

GSS

Sunday, May 27th, 2007

GSS started and there are sale everywhere you turn to. I am a sucker for sale and many time, I bought things that I never use. Over the weekend, make a bet with my hubby, starting from 1st June, I shall not buy anything like clothes, bag, make up and SHOES (killer) and etc. If I break my promise, he can ‘suan’ me in whatever way he wants and I have to take it. Scary but I need it cos I need to save money…..argh.

400 x 10

Sunday, May 27th, 2007

When I was in secondary school, what I hate most during PE lesson was the 2.4 run. Whenever our teacher said that we are doing 2.4, my legs just turn jelly and I can feel my heart beat become irregular. Running is really no fun for me. However, as the years go by, I have developed a liking for jogging, especially after I put on so much weight during my stay in Melbourne.

Last night, I decided to jog and I set a target of jogging around the stadium 10x and I did it, don’t ask about the timing, it is the distant that matter right? Hahahahaha. Was so happy, think I can still go on but shall not overdo it.

Priceless

Since i started providing training few years back, i have encountered students from all walks of life. They have made my ordinary life special. We have interesting discussion about the training, about life and about work. My students never fail to amaze me or surprised me with new stuffs. Of cos there are good and bad times but i appreciate all of them, it makes me who i am today.

I might have imparted them the skills of nails technology, but my students have in returned give me the experience and information that money can’t buy.

NDP - HOME

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

If you know me, I am a very patriotic Singaporean. When I was younger (really young, like in Primary school), I would buy the NDP songbook and cassette every year without failed. And when the TV played the NDP theme song, I will happily sing along and I truly enjoy the songs. I should join the Young PAP…i seriously think so…

Recently, I downloaded the ‘Home’ by Kit Chan from NDP 2007 website (free and legal download) and I played the song while my hubby was driving. Of cos, being patriotic, I sing along with Kit Chan. Then my MEAN Hubby commented, ‘do you think this song only sounds good when it is sang by Kit Chan’? I repled: ‘yes, I think so too!’…Guess what? My hubby said, ‘then can you stop singing?’ Argh…….he is so mean, he just stab me openly….Angry…

Fulfiling Guang Zhou

Thursday, May 17th, 2007

Remember i mentioned earlier about my trip to Guang Zhou? I went and back from my tiring yet fulfiling trip. This is my 4th time to the City but the amazing GZ never fail to impress me. I am couple of hundred poorer but the money is well spent.

Thanks to our dear friend, we save alot on lodging and foods. He brought us to great restuarants every nights for good foods, exactly what we need after one whole day of HARD WORK (aka Hard Core Shopping).

Shopping in GZ is amazing, lots of things to buy and they are very cheap too, BKK also no fight. I even bought alot of working clothes, yes i know, i used to be sceptical about China Fashion too, who wants to dress like them right? But you will be so wrong, their fashion trend is as good as Hong Kong but at a fraction of the cost, you will be so tempted too. But to ensure the good bargain, you must be equiped with super bargaining skill and super thick skin. There is no such thing as customer service in the chinese blood. If you are not serious in buying and engage in the bargaining session with them, they will not hesitate to SCOLD YOU. So, remember, don’t mess around with the chinese, bargain only if you are serious buyer, unless you enjoy a public display of your good ‘fighting’ skill.

By the way, the trip to GZ via Tiger is getting better but still have room for improvement. Flight was delayed for more than an hour on the way back.

Hi-ti @ Mariiot Hotel

Sunday, May 6th, 2007

Have you tried Hi-ti at Marriot hotel? If you have not, you should, the Hi-ti starts at 3pm and last till 5pm. The spread was great and they keep changing the foods. Meaning, unlike buffet else where, you get to try new items everytime you visit the buffet table..Cool right?

Of cos, good company is a very important to go with the good foods. My only regret is, i didn’t get to eat my Scone cos i was too slow and by the time i am ready for it, all have been taken and replaced by muffin.

Yummy…………..cost per pax $35 nett
