This is a very good article. Not only about the warm water after your meal, but about heart attacks. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this ’sludge’ reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine.  Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.
A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let’s be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.

Finally,  golf at Seletar Base Golf course today (22nd June 2007), they are closing this Sunday for sure, so if you never play there before…TOO bad..

Took half day leave to play Golf with my hubby today, I wanted to try out Seletar Base golf course before the closing on 25th June. Our coach told us that the course is very packed the night before and he said he will try to book a slot for us if he can. Louis got a call from Coach before lunch telling him that he had found two more students to join our flight else we have to play with strangers,  this is due the closing and high traffic, the golf course only allow full flight for very slot (min and max 4 players). Our coach is trying to be nice, he is worry that I will be stressed if i played with strangers. However, coash made a mistake, he booked the flight for us on Friday instead of today (Thursday)…arghhh, so WE DIDN"T GET TO PLAY and I HAVE WASTED MY LEAVE…So i am taking another 0.5 day on Friday. FYI, leave is very precious to me…

Anyway, since no golf, we went for our jog and we decided to go to Botok Jone for Dinner. We have being wanting to try them out since they moved to Depot Road few months back. I can’t remember why I always has an impression that they are Chinese Zhi Cha stall and they serve good crab. Louis was so excited and getting himself ready for the crab until we reach the Coffeeshop and realise they serve Authentic American Food…what can be so wrong right? Pepper crab turn out to be Ribeye steak and Botak Burger….what a day…

Was at home enjoying my lazy Saturaday when I received a SMS from my cousin telling me to go back to my grandma’s pl if I can cos my grandma is saying some ‘funny’ and ‘weird’ comments to my her and my mum and they are very worried. Immediately, i felt so gulity and bad for lazing at home and not spend time with my grandma when i am available. I usually go back to my grandma and my mum’s place once or twice a week. The fact that i stayed so closed to my grandma before i moved out to my own place, seeing me once or twice a week to my grandma is considered very little time spent together.

I called my cousin immediately and asked her what happened, she told me grandma suddenly feel uncomfortable and said thing like she wants to ‘go’ when the ‘dragon boat festival’ is over. I showered and rushing down to my grandma. When i reached, she was already feeling better. She tod me she is really uncomfortable and wants to go. I asked her, ‘where are you rushing to?’ She told me i won’t understand the uncomfort that she is going thru. Wanted to cry but i want to be strong and cheer my grandma up instead. I chatted with her and told her i will be back as often as i can.

I am closest to my grandma as compared to the rest of my cousins, althought she is now staying with 4 of my cousins but not all of them are willing to help her when she needed help. I have a couple of cousins who hardly visit her.

Now, all i want to do is to spend time with my grandma, make her happy, help her, buy her nice snacks and massage her as much as i can. I told myself, one day, when my grandma is gone, i will have no regret for not spending enough time with her.

Was at Zouk on friday and i met Gary, a long time friend. We used to be quite closed while we were in Poly and after we graduated. It is like we always have a thing for each other but it never really blossom. We could have been together but we never did. I guess this is what we call ‘You Yuan wu Fen’. Anyway, both of us are now married. And he told me his wedding date was 27 Jan 07, which happened to be my birthday, wonder if that mean anything..heehehe

Oh, Gary is not my first ‘Reunion’. My ex-boyfriend, Gerald is working the same office building as me and we have been working in the same building for the passed 3 years. Our broke off was the unpleasant type that I pray and hope that our path will never ever cross. However, we are now on talking term because of the opportunity that GOD given. Initiately, i was really scare of running into him but now, we exchange greeting and gifts (for his two little girls, Faith and Luv).

The next person that i hope to meet again will be Nicholas Koh, was still waiting for the closure that i never had from him. We were togther for 3 years and he broke off the relationship over a long distance phone call and he never call again.

Wow!!! Our dear crabby birthday is approaching and her cousins planned one big surprise birthday party for her at ZOUK. It is her 30th Birthday and her last singlehood birthday. she is getting married next year..YEAH..another HEN Nite.

Got a sms from her cousin one of the nite asking me to assist her in this mission. My task was to gather her friends for this event and meet her on the day to ensure all things went well. So i immediately gathered our usual gang and a few friends, most of them can make it. Then i emailed crabby and told her that I am feeling down and wants to go for drink on friday nite. (Friday is also our dear mouse ROM) This is to ensure that she will not drive and i can keep her by my side. We acted according to our plan, we went for dinner and her cousin called her after the dinner to tell Crabby that she got into some trouble at Zouk and needed her help. We want to make crabby feel lost, nervous and worried before feeling touched and happy. Crabby indeed feel worried and starts making phone call to seek help but never did she know, everyone is involved in this big mission, including her bf and bf friends. (Her bf is not in Singapore but still get involved)HAHAHAHA…even while we were waiting for cab, we painted scary picture for her, making thing a bit worse for her.

When we reached zouk, at the wine bar she was pleasantly greeted by her big bunch of cousins and friends with a big birthday cake and song, think her tear almost dash out. I was really glad that she didn’t suspect a thing before the event to make this mission even more meaning and special for her. This is only the start of the nite, what followed was even more scary, I never see so many jugs of drinks before, think she might have order more than 60 jugs of beers, pineapple malibu, volka and others……
